Product Licences

Terms of use for digital products and extensions

1. General Provisions

1.1. These licence terms govern the rights and obligations related to the use of digital products — extensions (plugins, components and packages) for Joomla and VirtueMart (hereinafter referred to as the "product") created and distributed by the provider:

(hereinafter referred to as the "provider")

1.2. By purchasing or downloading the product, the customer (hereinafter referred to as the "licensee") agrees to these licence terms.

2. Scope of the Licence

2.1. The provider grants the licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the product within the scope corresponding to the purchased licence type:

Licence TypeScope of Use
1 domainInstallation and operation on 1 web domain (incl. subdomains and staging environment)
3 domainsInstallation and operation on up to 3 web domains
UnlimitedInstallation and operation on an unlimited number of the licensee's domains

2.2. The licence entitles the licensee to use the product without time limitation (perpetual licence). The right to updates and technical support is time-limited — see Section 4.

2.3. The licence applies exclusively to domains owned or operated by the licensee. The licensee may not install the product on domains of third parties unless they hold an "Unlimited" licence.

3. GPL and Open Source

3.1. The product is distributed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPL v2+), in accordance with the Joomla platform licensing terms.

3.2. Under the GPL, you have the right to:

  • use the product for any purpose;
  • study how the product works and adapt it to your needs;
  • distribute copies of the product;
  • improve the product and release the improvements.

3.3. These rights arising from the GPL apply exclusively to the source code. They do not apply to:

  • the trade name and brand of the product;
  • graphic elements and design specific to the product;
  • documentation and marketing materials;
  • technical support and updates.

4. Updates and Technical Support

4.1. The purchased licence includes 1 year from the date of purchase:

  • access to product updates (bug fixes, new features, compatibility);
  • e-mail technical support (response within 2 business days).

4.2. After the expiry of 1 year, support and updates may be renewed at the price listed on the provider's website (40% of the full licence price for each additional year).

4.3. The product continues to work after support expires — you simply do not receive new updates. The provider does not guarantee compatibility with future versions of Joomla or VirtueMart without active support.

5. Restrictions

5.1. The licensee may not:

  • sell, rent or sublicence the product to third parties;
  • offer the product for download on their own or third-party websites;
  • remove copyright notices, licence headers or provider identification from the source code;
  • represent the product as their own work or the work of a third party;
  • use the product for activities that violate applicable laws.

5.2. The restrictions in Section 5.1 supplement the rights under the GPL. When distributing a modified version of the product under the GPL, the licensee is obliged to comply with all conditions of the GPL v2+, in particular the obligation to make the source code available and to preserve licence headers.

6. Liability and Warranties

6.1. The provider warrants that the product at the time of delivery corresponds to the description on the website and is functional in the declared environment.

6.2. The product is provided "as is". The provider does not guarantee that the product will be compatible with every server configuration, every third-party extension or every template.

6.3. The provider shall not be liable for:

  • damages caused by improper use of the product;
  • damages caused by modifications to the product made by the licensee or a third party;
  • data loss, lost profits or indirect damages;
  • issues caused by incompatibility with third-party extensions or templates.

6.4. The total liability of the provider is limited to the price paid for the licence.

7. Licence Termination

7.1. The licence is perpetual and does not expire unless terminated pursuant to this section.

7.2. The provider may terminate the licence in the event of a material breach of these terms by the licensee, in particular in the case of unauthorised distribution of the product. Before termination, the provider shall notify the licensee in writing and provide a reasonable period for remedy (min. 14 days).

7.3. Upon termination of the licence, the licensee is obliged to remove the product from all their installations.

8. Final Provisions

8.1. These licence terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.

8.2. Matters not regulated by these terms are governed by the relevant provisions of Act No. 89/2012 Coll. (Civil Code), Act No. 121/2000 Coll. (Copyright Act) and the terms of the GPL v2+ licence.

8.3. The provider reserves the right to update these terms. The current version is available on the provider's website. Amended terms do not apply to licences purchased before the amendment takes effect.

These licence terms are effective as of 16 June 2026.
